Lux is really blossoming. She waves hi and bye, blows kisses, claps, signs "doggie" and says "A-yee" when she sees Allie. She eats everything she can get her hands on. She still nurses. We introduced a sippy cup a few months ago and she is starting to get used it. She scoots all over the floor and loves to get into things. We have found her in some interesting places. She is trying to stand up in the tub, which is rather frightening.
This kid does not require naps! The only surefire way she will nap during the day is a ride in the car or in my lap after nursing. Even without naps, she doesn't get grumpy. She smiles, plays and laughs all day with us and big sister Lulu. In fact, the only time she does yell and scream is when we are trying to put her to sleep. Bedtime is a challenge, but we are being patient and working on it.
She has a sweet, fun personality, but she definitely lets you know when she is not happy with something (i.e. wiping her face or taking a too-small item away). We're teaching her the sign for "gentle", and we think she's starting to get it, which is a good thing since she's very strong!
As Lux is maturing, we're noticing changes in Lulu as well. Just today, Lulu and Lux were on the floor for a few hours playing together with blocks. It's so nice to see their relationship developing and enjoying each others' company.
