We watched the 1960's version of Swiss Family Robinson that I have not seen since I was a child. I have very fond memories of the tree house and living off the island. Idyllic.
Watching it as an adult has given me different perspective on the movie. The complexity and speed at which the tree house was built was a bit unbelievable. And when the showed the Mother playing an organ, I just kind of rolled my eyes.
I was surprised at how violent the pirate attack and counter attack was. Pretty realistic and brutal, especially the log and rock releases.
I immediately recognized the oldest brother as the actor in Hawaii 5-0. So young! The girls enjoyed it a lot, as well.
