OPB Open House

Our local public broadcasting channel, OPB, had its yearly open house. You could take a tour of the studios and see a radio show in action. The girls got to meet a character named Buddy, from a show called Dinosaur Train.

I finally got to put a face to the wonderfully named OPB reporter, Kristian Foden-Vencil.

They also have some old cameras and other equipment.

They had a lot of booths set up for the kids and adults to check things out and do. The girls spun a wheel and won prizes. They also had a bigger wheel that all four of us got to spin. We came home with some wonderful gifts!

We were amazed at what they were giving away. I was able to receive the DVD set of the entire (2000-2014), Rick Steves' travel show. It's listed for almost $100 on Amazon. Greg got two really nice T-shirts and four wonderful music CDs. We got two mugs and two metal water bottles. The girls got some toys, bookmarks and magnets.
